First Class Service Guide

Complimenting our Short Haul Service Guide Database, the First Class product is detailed below. First Class is not available on all long haul routes - indeed, it can sometimes depend on the time of day you fly as to whether there is a First Class cabin.

General Service

Upon arrival to the aircraft a pre-takeoff glass of Champagnes, Orange Juice or Water will be offered alongside a sleeper suit, amenity kit and slippers. The CSD/CSM will normally pass around to introduce themselves in the early stages of flight.

In flight entertainment consists of either the onboard library or iPads. When wishing to sleep the cabin crew will prepare the bed as part of the turndown service.

Dining is a’la carte and includes an a variety of snack and express options to a full dinner complete with Amuse Bouche, various meal options and dessert/cheese. Afternoon Tea from the Dorchester Hotel will be provided from daytime flights ex LHR.

Onboard Drinks

Champagne and Wines
Champagne served in the Concorde Rooms and onboard is the Laurent Perrier, Grand Siècle made from a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay blend. It has a bright colour with a brilliant yellow hue and comes with subtle aromas of honey, hazelnuts, grilled almonds and brioche

Onboard Wines are chosen from the regions of Europe: Champagne, Bordeaux and Burgandy, as well as the finest New World wines and where possible will reflect the destination of the flight.

Regional Variations

Arabian Routes

In addition to the usual service, Dates and Arabian Coffee will be available. Certain routes will have members of BA’s Middle Eastern based Cabin Crew

Japanese Routes

A Japanese centric menu will be available including Sake Wine, Green Tea and Cold Oolong. Local Japanese Crew currently operate on Narita routes only with Japanese Speaking Crew available on the Haneda.

Indian Routes

Indian based crew in Sari uniforms work on these routes. An Indian centric menu will be available specific to either North or South India and Hyderabad and will consist of a selection of dishes including rice, dhal, vegetables, Roti, Raita, Chutney and Pickle. There will be a greater emphasise of Indian vegetarian and meat meals served with Indian breads. The Delhi and Bombay Routes offer Indian Hot Savouries as the second dining service.

South Korea

Korean speakers will typically operate on this route. A South Korean menu featuring Plum drinks and Ginseng Tea with Honey and a full BA version of the Bibimbap complete with Kimchi, Korean Pickles, Sesame Oil and Soup
